Be Our Talent Scout! Nominate your friend, neighbour or colleague today! If you know of anyone who has made a difference to people's lives through sports, be sure to nominate him or her today for the Sporting Singapore Inspiration Awards (SSIA) 2007. The nominations for the Awards are now open and the Singapore Sports Council (SSC) is once again seeking the unsung heroes who may well be people around you. So, keep a lookout and nominate them. The SSIA serves to give recognition to deserving individuals and organisations that contribute towards sports promotion. The award is open to all Singapore citizens and permanent residents who are active in sports and have contributed their resources to sports promotion in Singapore. So, who are we exactly talking about? First, the people you have in mind must have typically: CREATED opportunities and platforms for sporting activities CONNECTED with the community through sports CELEBRATED the triumph of the human spirit through sports Full-time or part-time sports administrators may be nominated. However, only sports promotion done outside and beyond scope of work will be taken into consideration. Comprising two broad categories, the SSIA 2007 hopes to honour both individuals and organisations. Under the individual category, there are the youths, adults and senior citizens while the organisation category recognises Sports Advocates, Sports Partners, Educational Institutions and Sports Business. Send in your nomination forms before 31 May 2007 and stand a chance to win the latest Sennheiser Sport Line Earphones worth $69.90 each! Miss the registration during the club crawl... No wushu background... No worries.. NYP Wushu Club is still recruiting members till further notice. Come and look for us on every Wednesday (except Public Holidays) from 6pm - 8pm in NYP Sports Hall. Please wear appropriate comfortable attire as there will be a lot of stretching exercises. Alternative, you may also email to us at nyp_wushu@yahoo.com.sg for further enquires or stay tune to our blog at http://nypwushu.blogspot.com for updates. ps: Most of our members arrive early and will proceed straight to our club room, thus you may find us at around 5.30pm onwards in our club room on Level 2, Block F.
